Big Country is een Schotse rockband die in 1986 het album *The Seer* uitbracht. Dit album werd geproduceerd door Robin Millar en bevatte een mix van rock en folk-invloeden, kenmerkend voor de stijl van de band. *The Seer* werd goed ontvangen binnen hun fankring en bevatte onder andere de titeltrack en de single "Look Away". Het werk toont de voortzetting van Big Country's thematiek over Schotse identiteit en landschappen.
